LIGHT INSTRUMENT TWO

In our daily lives the qualities and impact of light can often go unappreciated. Light Instruments aims to draw in UT students and New Works Festival attendees, creating a moment of observance, as light is captured and presented to the viewer.

The project consists a modular systems installed in The Architecture Schools Materials Lab  The system consists is a surface generated by the tessellation of simple rhombus pieces of Tyvek fabric to create a continuous cover that is illuminated by captured light.

The installation was originally intended for the UTC flyover on campus, but the project was denied by Facilities and Maintenance one week before the final installation date.
