PERFORMANCE

A sunken, outdoor performance space on 6th and Colorado in downtown Austin. The venue utilizes a system of irregular stairs to create a series of platforms of varying size that are inhabited by audience members. The surface is both circulation and seating. The performance space is surrounded by a higher level balcony that allows passerby to stop and listen. The project aims to include, rather than exclude, its surroundings in the performance.
