LADY BIRD JOHNSON PAVILION
Spring 2012 | Design 2 | Professor Milovanovic-Bertram
A small pavilion composed of pentagonal units. The geometry of the units forces irregular patterning on the buildings curving surface, creating a variety of different openings. These openings provide views of the surrounding garden and create dynamic light and shadow in the space. The pavilion covers a path at the entrance to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center creating a threshold for the park: a place for rest and gathering.
